Ramp it up

If you don't do something different - you will not change, you will not grow and eventually you will start going backwards. Why do I say this with certainty? Because those people who are doing something different, will find a way to overtake you. You may think you are doing ok, until you see what "they" are doing and you realise you've been coasting for a while. So, this applies to everything you do - but especially with things like your business, your school work, your relationships and in particular diet and exercise.

Your mind gets bored, your muscles get used to doing the same things and we can all be guilty of doing a lot less than we were supposed to.

Saturday is a great day for looking at what you are doing and asking - can I do this differently? what can I change?

As you know, Saturday is my main day to exercise. This morning was a little different, I usually go to the gym, but I was up early enough to walk the 15km bridges circuit as well as go to the gym....it was cold, the river was so still - but the views were worth it. And I got to give my mind a rest as well. More than one reason to brave the cold weather and get out there.

So what are you going to do differently today?

And a final comment:
Oh and I would like to say it was great to catch up with a regular reader of the daily dose on Thursday evening - we happened to be going to the same seminar.... so, if you are in my neck of the woods and want to catch up, let me know, it would be great to see you.....and where is my neck of the woods? well Fremantle, Western Australia predominantly....but it's a great place to visit :-)

With many thoughts
Elle

I've been cycling this morning in my native North Yorkshire, England :) In a month's time I'll start my Computer Science degree so they'll be all sorts of change there.

By the way can you recommend any motivational books? I'd also like to put something on the wall in my bedroom/office but not anything tacky with some vomit-inducing slogan on it... Any ideas?

Keep em coming Elle!
