Compare yourself to you

What abilities do you have?

Do you sometimes say to anyone who will listen "If only I could, sing/dance/write/draw/model/.... like so and so I would"...

No, actually you wouldn't. You have your own talents, you have your own reason for being on this planet...because if we could all do exactly the same things as everyone else, the law of average comes in to play - every time.

Someone will always be better than you and someone will always be worse.

If you compare yourself to everyone else (as an excuse for not doing what you know you are good at), you will always tell yourself you are not good enough, they are better than you, it's not fair because they have all the luck.... yada yada yada

The only thing you can do - is be better today than yesterday. By all means strive for excellence, you may never get there - but you will be much better as a result of trying.

p.s. please excuse the potential lack of posts over the next few days - tis the time for annual birthday celebrations - and this year we are heading to a place I have never been to before and can't wait to see. So, until I next speak to you - be good, be better than good and whatever you do - be good at it :-)

All the best
Elle
