Have you ever considered clothes to be sources of energy?

I've procrastinated over my wardrobe for about a year now. I know there are some things in my wardrobe that shouldn't be there.

There are clothes I used to wear and should throw away
There are clothes that I used to wear and can't get in at the moment
There are clothes that I bought on impulse, wore once and have never bothered with again

And then there are clothes that just don't suit me.

I had a good workout tonight though - I started cleaning out my closet - but rather than "guess" I tried each piece on and gave a critical - well even if you were "thinner" would you ever wear this? I have to say the answer was an embarassing NO.

So - Why was it a good workout?

Well not only did I get to exercise my judgement, but I exercised my body - have you ever tried on about a dozen outfits and ended up worn out as a result? If you have then you will know what I mean. I am only a fraction the way through my clothes, but already the thrift (charity) shops will be receiving several bags of goodies. I've even thrown something away - I know - shock horror.

But why clothes as a form of energy?

Well if you are stuck in the "wearing the same styles / items / colour all the time, then you are stuck and so are your clothes. I know of one lady who doesn't appear to have ever thrown anything away - unfortunately she still wears it ...

So if you want to change your outlook and get real - then it's time to get into your wardrobe and get rid of what really doesn't work for you, you'll be surprised at how good it makes you feel (besides there will be space for all the new bits you need to buy as a result - always a bonus :-) )

Happy closet cleaning.
