Conversations with the dearly departed
Here's a thought for today.
If you were to ask someone, or a group of persons who had recently "passed on" if they were happy with what they had achieved whilst they were on Earth - what answers do you think you would get?How many would be happy with what they had achieved or the legacy they had left behind?
- How many would have wanted to do just a little bit more?
- How many would lament how much time they would have wasted doing the things that just didn't matter in the end.
- How many would be able to tell you - I had this amazing goal and I did all that and more, it was brilliant. I did everything I could - and then some.
If you think about your own goal list - does it inspire you to even want to talk about it - should you be asked when you get "to the otherside"? Consider this, The Ancient Egyptians had this interesting test - they were taken to the hall of judgement to be questioned before a decision was made, would they be allowed to pass into the Egyptian heaven. Would you pass the test.
Now before you start going on about - well I'm not Egyptian therefore it doesn't matter - no-one is going to judge me. This is rhetorical - however, when you think about it, we are all judged, every single day - why then should our passing be any different?
So my question for you today - and you knew there would be questions about this topic
- Are you happy with the legacy you're going to leave behind?
- Are you happy with what you have achieved?
- Do your goals inspire you enough and will the way you convey your actions / reactions and abilities be able to get you through "the hall of judgement?"
