How to overcome procrastination: Throw away the blame list
If you are willing to throw away the blame list of why you can't do something because of so and so, or because you think someone "did" something to you, then you can overcome the procrastination habit.
What do we mean by the blame list?
- I couldn't go to the gym because
- If I could get a bank loan I could have started my own business
- If so and so had done their part of the job / task I could have ....
Do you see what we mean - every time we "blame" something else for our inaction or our so called inability to do something, then we are giving in to procrastination.
You may turn around and say - no way, I am ALWAYS busy I just don't have time to ....
Really? ALWAYS?
Remember this one thing - you will ALWAYS find time to do what you want to do.
So next time you think about making an excuse as to why someone else is to blame for what you can or more importantly can't do, or when you blame circumstances for why you can't get on....remember, then consider taking a closer look at your goals - why don't they inspire you enough to work on them? Are they really your goals or did someone tell you it would be a good idea for you to ....
Believe me it's hard to get inspired by someone else's goals.
Are you ready to throw away the blame list?
