Find your reason to succeed.
As you know reasons are the reason we do something or not. The stronger the reason, the faster things gets done, which means you can achieve your goals much faster. The problem I have found with most people is their reasons are not strong enough.
Will you move heaven and earth to achieve your goal?
Then you have strong reasons for doing so
Can't be bothered to get out of bed in a morning
Yes you guessed it, the benefit of staying in bed is larger than the reason for getting up.
A friend and I decided to take part in this year's City to Surf which is a 12km walk (or 12km run) from Perth city to the coast. When I registered just over a week ago the number of participants stood at over 23,000 people. My friend registered today and the number was over 24,000. That's a lot of motivated people, especially as most year's the weather is pretty bad - well we are still officially in winter at that point. Our motivation to get up early on a weekend and meet is the reason why you can find us toiling up malcolm street every saturday morning - the first KM of the race is uphill - and we don't want to be overtaken by people dressed as rabbits and caterpillars. How embarrassing would that be?! So we get up early on a weekend to train. Yes I know it's only 12km's and that training is only part of what we do each week, but our reason is big enough to ensure we walk every week. We also have added benefits - I've dropped 8cm's off my hips and my friend has dropped similar size. For us, the benefits far outweigh the reasons.
Do your goals have big enough reasons? And do those reasons have associated benefits that can draw you to goals faster.

Motivate Me to Find Work: 4. Follow Instructions
---------------------------
When you are applying for a position it is ESSENTIAL that you follow the instructions to the letter.
Job application packages are there to help you, so take time to read them thoroughly and highlight the area on how to apply and in particular "what to submit with your application".
Failure to follow their instructions means your application will end up in what we term File 13, or the round receptacle under the desk. If you cannot follow simple instructions will you be able to follow "orders"? It also smacks of a lack of attention to detail....you know - one of THOSE questions the prospective employer always likes answers to. If you don't follow the instructions, you have demonstrated only too well that you don't have what they need.
Sounds harsh?
Not if your life or the life of your colleagues or patients depend upon it. Imagine a science experiment where you think you've added the right combination of chemicals - well it's nearly right... Nearly right is not always good enough.
I have had an ongoing dialogue with a person who seems to have a blind spot with regards to these kinds of instructions. As I have said to him many times, if the prospective employer wants you to hand write the application on purple paper with green ink, then that is exactly what you send them.
* Follow their instructions as stated in the job application package or advertisement
* Only send them what they have asked for - nothing else
* Make sure the application gets to them in plenty of time
