Today's daily dose: 20th August 2010
---------------------------

Let's face it, it can be so easy to let things slide.

We don't realize we've put a couple of pounds on - until we try and get in our jeans on a weekend and all of a sudden they're a bit tight. Then we remember we also forgot to exercise on a couple of days this week because we had other commitments.

We don't see the gradual mess and clutter that accumulates when we fail to put things away

Dust gathers on top of dust on our possessions as well as our minds.

Can you remember the last book you read? Or seminar you went on? What about art exhibition, play, concert or picnic with the family? Every one a chance to feed the mind and the soul.

Of course there are some major life changing events we can immediately recall. The birth of our children, the death of someone close to us, a car crash or accident that literally stopped us in our tracks - each one a chance to make momentous changes quickly. But we don't have those kinds of life changing events on a daily basis. What we do have though are small and subtle changes / decisions that we make on a daily basis that over time can and do make a HUGH impact on ourselves and what we achieve. That is why the 100 day challenge was so important. We are coming up to almost that time of year again...the last 100 days of the year. Are you going to get to the end of another year in almost exactly the same situation as you were in at the start of the year, or are you using the challenge to ensure you don't let things slide?

In an effort to assist you with the challenge I will be putting together a weekly email - specifically for the challenge. Not the Daily Dose of Motivational Ezine you already get, but ways to use the challenge more effectively to achieve your goals.

Now, before you mutter - but I don't have a copy - never fear, the emails will take that into consideration and the emails will still be of value to you.

So - watch this space and get ready to make the last 100 days of 2010 even more remarkable. Of course you really don't have to wait another month and a half to start, you can make a massive inroads into your goals in that time - if you are ready to change.

Motivate Me to Find Work: When you just want a job
---------------------------

When you just want a job it's a good idea to use a resume rather than a CV. A resume highlights your strengths, skills and abilities, but you can hide certain things from a prospective employer. No this is not lying or fabricating the truth, but a way to get around being over qualified for a position. I've had some amazing job titles over the years, but I know that if I just want a job to earn some money then telling a store manager I was an Information Scientist etc will make them wonder why I want to work outside my area of expertise and it would be very unlikely I would get to interview stage - let alone the job.

Something to think about in your job search.

So don't down play what you are good at, just think about the words you use.
