céad míle fáilte

A hundred thousand welcomes to each and every one of you who reads these musings on an almost daily basis.

Why the Irish greeting?

Well tomorrow is St Patrick's day, and for some reason here in Australia the event is almost as big as "Australia Day" - so for those of you who intend to raise a glass or two of that (Sorry in my opinion - rather horrid black stuff) Guinness - be safe on the way home and make sure someone is the designated skipper.

For the rest of us who, while acknowledging the special day for Irish, well I personally would like to extend a prayer and a blessing or two to the thousands of Japanese who are suffering through this very hard time, the rescue workers who are always there, those people with family and loved ones in Japan, to everyone who has lived through the recent disasters in New Zealand, Australia and the many people who are fighting wars they didn't start - but are now inextricably part of - be safe, look out for each other and remember there are people hoping and praying for your safe return.

With love and light

Elle
