Today is my new starting point

Today is my new starting point. What I have done up to now has led me to where I currently am - sounds like a cliche, but bear with me for just a moment. For me and my new starting point this is a good thing. I am starting today 8 kilos lighter than the  1st of January and several dress sizes smaller due to the massive amount of exercise I have done. As a result of that exercise I have gained muscle and lost body fat - but not a great deal on the scale, but goodness do my clothes look better. And to be fair I've still got a long way to go from where I am now and where I think I want / ought to be. The beauty of course is that every day is my new starting point, as it is yours.

* Every day becomes tomorrow's stepping stone to a different future.
* And if all your "tomorrows" build on what you do today, doesn't that make "today" THE most important day of your entire life?

One final thought about your goals for today, especially for something like weight loss. Your goal isn't to reach that magic number for a single day, the goal should be to reach it and then maintain it for the rest of your life. Or take the goal to open a new business, do you throw open the doors one day to close it the next - YES I opened my business - NEXT?! Nor do you just write a book and not do anything with the manuscript.

You need to think beyond the initial goal, because that is just a stepping stone to other things. I don't know about you, but I think that is really quite exciting. Every day we can choose whether we will work on our selves and our goals or we can choose to stay where we are. And who wants to stay where they are doing the same things in the same way - not you certainly, and certainly not me.

With many thoughts
