Getting your message across

I love Friday the 13th's - my 21st birthday landed on Friday the 13th, and I've probably had a few more birthday's land on those days too - just time and age gets in the way of remembering other specific  times - but that's not what I wanted to tell you, although it does have everything to do with the power of words, and of course perception. Most people I know loathe and dread Black Friday's - they've seemingly bought into the hype that the 13th is a bad number and when it lands on a Friday - the lorded saints help us. Personally I feel it is one of choice - if you think you're going to have a bad time of it on Friday 13th - then guess what, you probably will... You would also have had exactly the same experience (IMO) on any other day had you been wandering round with a black cloud of "OH NO IT'S GOING TO BE AN AWFUL DAY I CAN JUST FEEL IT" handing over you.

And if you want an interesting example of the power of words - observe

(it's about a minute long BTW)

One final question after you've watched the short clip

How are you getting your message across today?

With many thoughts
