Habits are those things ...

Habits are those things we don't think we have, until we try and change things.

So with that in mind something to think about ...

100 Day Challenge Update:

It's now been several days since you began the challenge. How are you doing?

Somethings I have noticed:

  • Days 3 - 5 are usually the hardest:
  • You are probably still wondering how the challenge can help you.
  • You may be struggling to set the new patterns because you haven't quite figured out why life keeps getting in the way of your goals and ideas.

Well remember that it does take time to set new patterns, you've been doing whatever has become your habits for a while now, you CANNOT expect things to be dramatically different over night (no matter how much we want to).

Deal with today ONLY in the beginning of the process of change. Have you done what you said you were going to do?

  • Have you put your $1 in the jar? *check*
  • Have you completed your 30 mins of exercise today? *check*
  • Have you written / reviewed your bucket list *check* and *not yet - makes note to self*
  • Have you organised tomorrow's activities today? *check* - and Friday's *check* (mum arrives for a holiday on Friday, so I have to be even more organised than normal ...eek - money for the parking machine at the airport - scurries off)
  • Have you ...

Well to be fair it is the end of my day here in Western Australia. I have washing in the machine, dishes to do, dinner to eat and finally a sit down to contemplate... but when I am setting new patterns I do try and ensure these new items get incorporated very early into my day, that way I don't have to remember to do them, they're already done. Which I hope is something to consider.
