Your future is now
We can be forgiven for looking forward to the next great big thing we have planned, after all it's EXCITING :-D
The wedding we are planning, the holiday we want to take, the mountain we want to climb, the book we want to write or the millionth copy of the book we want to sell, that we forget to live today.
I remember working with a lady way back in the dim and distant past. Her father was planning on retiring early to spend some time with his wife, kids and grandkids after a life time "at the office". Knowing there wouldn't be the same kind of financial freedom to spend on the luxury items they had enjoyed, he spent part of every pay packet buying "spares" in the lead up ... shoes, ties, shirts, suits, you name it, he'd thought about it and bought enough to last him a lifetime. Shame he didn't get to use them though, in the most part they went off to the charity shops unopened - he spent so much time living for the future he forgot to live for the day and died of a heart attack before he officially retired.
I'm sure we can all be guilty to a certain extent of getting excited about something that's rapidly approaching. Sometimes I know of people who also spend a lifetime waiting for the right moment:
You and I know there never will be a right moment. It simply comes down to how we use each and every moment we have been given.

100 Day Challenge Update: Uggghhhh
--------------------------
As I write this I am again "sick". I have had back to back colds / coughs through the winter, and this particular illness was a bridge too far for my semi-recovered body and now have a chest infection, which has rather put a damper on the training I was doing for my 100 day challenge. I shall now have to wait for the anti-biotics to kick in and an all clear from my doctor before re-starting, but you get that.
