Good Morning, For those of you who have had to go back to work today, I hope you have enjoyed the couple of days off work....but for those of you who are fortunate to have additional time off between Christmas and New Year, just a question - what are you doing with that additional time?
Now before you hit the delete button - I did promise to annoy you during the break, and I do like to keep my word....so go on tell me - what are you doing?
Everything we say and do is a choice. Every decision that you make, impacts on the next set of choices that you are faced with. Remember, even your decision to nothing is doing something. But I do know that sometimes it is hard to get enthused about projects, plans and goals...even I struggle to start sometimes. But - and here is the thing....sometimes you just have to pick something and to start it. And don't stop until such time as the item is finished.
Do you have your list of things you said you wanted to do, be or achieve, then it should be relatively easy to pick one and get started on it. Why? Because if they are on the list, then you should want to do something that will take you towards them. Sitting on your butt watching too many TV repeats, watching other people live their lives and dreams is hardly going to help you achieve yours now is it.
So, now you have a choice. You can let other people dictate your life, you can let the negative drain you of your energy and vitality, or you can decide that today, today is for you. We spend so much time and energy on people and things that just don't matter, we lose track of what is important.
Reconnect with your list. This is not about affirmations or positive thinking per se, rather, why are those things on your list? Get excited, make some decisions, make some choices. Sometimes you have to fall flat on your nose, in order to determine how badly you want something.
