Adding some urgency to your day
Deadlines are important, especially ones that you know you can't get out of. You know you have to be at work by 8.30am or risk losing your job. You know you have a plane to catch, it will leave without you if you're not on it. You know you have a meeting to go to, and you know that you have to prepare for it.
When you are faced with an approaching deadline, you will move mountains to ensure that you don't miss "the boat", you do don't you?
So translate those feelings towards one of the areas in which you know you procrastinate. It may be that you need to write an assignment - but it's not due until the end of the month, so you tell yourself you'll just do the research, but a week later and you still haven't started the work.
And sure enough, 2 days before the assignment is due, you get started on the work.
So a suggestion, let's play "let's pretend".
Imagine that you've invited Great Aunt Doris over for dinner and the house needs to be spotless otherwise you'll be in BIG trouble.
Imagine that the tutor has told you that instead of wanting the assignment in after the school break, he wants it in before - because that way you get to have a holiday and not have to worry about school work.
Try it, it's a technique that works.
