Cramming for the exams of life
At some point or other we will be expected to "take a test" as a way of proving that we have understood whatever it was we supposed to be learning.
It's interesting that most "teachers" still use the same methods of teaching, which means that some of us will do well, and others will do terribly. It doesn't mean that the ones who did badly - did badly, in my opinion it was the teachers who failed to teach properly. Because we all learn in slightly different ways.
One of the best ways to discover whether or not you understand a subject is to "teach" it. And then listen to the amount of questions that you receive as a result. So a suggestion - if you are at "school" in some shape or form, consider forming a group and taking it in turns to run a workshop based on the information that you have been given. Believe me it really does focus your attention on the subject matter if it's your turn to take class tomorrow.
Or consider trying a new method of revision. Use colour, use mind maps, use media files - watch and listen to the information. Write out flash cards. Get someone to "test" you. But whatever you do, never give up.
