Health, Fitness and Weight Loss > 100 day challenge: Motivate me to lose body fat .....

I am starting a new personal challenge. The goal - to lose between 10 and 15% body fat over the next 100 days....well 97 actually as I started the process on Monday. I will be using both this forum and the Motivate Me to Exercise and Motivate Me to lose weight pages to document my progress. And for the readers of the Daily Dose of Motivational Medicine - or those who would like to read it, will already know it's on .... read the post "is it working for you" in the newsletter archive (Monday 17th May 2010) for more information.

If you would like to join in, offer your own tips and tricks or lend your support I would be most grateful as I work on my "biggest" goal of the year.

Thanks and regards

How is it going so far? I think this might be something i need to get in on. A 100 day challenge is kind of motivating.

Hi Mikaela. thanks for asking - my first week saw a 1.8kilo weight loss and this my second week - I can feel a difference in my clothes (tops especially). My weaker left arm is now catching up and I can do almost as well as my stronger right side. If you would like to get in on the 100 day challege - you can find more information here - http://www.motivateme.info/challenge
I'll keep you posted

I'm a bit behind with the posts - but don't fret I am keeping detailed notes which i give to my trainer. End of week 2 and I have now lost a total of 2.5 kilos - bah humbug - my 1.8 seemed so good, 2nd week - not so good - yet doing the same stuff. This is now week 3 and I've gone through a migraine (Monday) and low level headache for a further 3 days - haven't felt much like doing anything - including eat. Didn't train on Monday (felt like I had gone through a cement mixer) but I did train last night - feel achy in a good way today. Training again tonight and I do have plans to train tomorrow night as well.
This is normally the time most people give up, they can't see the benefits / changes so get discouraged. As you can see I am not going to give up now and shall push through whatever blockages are stopping me from losing weight / size. Saying that I do "feel" smaller - an illusion - well no actually. Last week I reduced my waist line by 2cm - so changes are happening. Remember folks - don't rely on a single measurement to track your progress.

And just to keep you up to date.

At the end of week 4 my body fat is down by 2% similarly my BMI is down by almost 2 points - and I have taken 8cm's off my frame. This means of course my clothes are now fitting me much better, I can see my jaw line improving, my strength is getting better and my left shoulder is much improved.

My personal 100 day challenge to lose body fat is on track and every day I train, every day I get up early and either go for a walk or go to the gym to do some extra training on my own takes me another step closer to my goal.
