Song lyrics that inspire

Song lyrics have inspired people for generations,  we sing in the shower, in the car to and from work, we remember hymns we sang in church, and these modern day poets continue to inspire.  I love the fact that their words have the power to make me laugh, smile and cry (on occassion). They have the power to transport me to new places, remembered places, they have the power to transcend the trivial and the mundane. They are the true motivational "speakers" in this jaded world.
