I thought the end had arrived

Your life can change in an instant. Case in point this morning.

Driving to work this morning, watching the road - doing 70 in a 70 designated zone. Car in the left hand lane in front wants to turn left, i check my mirrors, nothing in the immediate right hand lane, a truck abiout 30 meters away so i indicate and move right....next thing i see is a woman in a big family saloon scream out of the left hand turn and into the road...cutting off the guy wanting to turn left - and into my way.....I lost about 6 of my 7 lives and about a years worth of rubber and brakes....the guy in the truck nearly jackknifed as i had to slam the brakes on to avoid the woman who couldn't see what was in front of her and couldn't be bothered to wait.

And of course, the usual thougths run through your brain. I left dishes in the sink - what will people think when they arrive to clean out the house? I didn't complete the books I am writing - no legacy to leave my children....lots of photos, but something truly achieved? What about my kids and my partner... I didn't have chance to say goodbye. Always running at a million miles an hour, trying to get everything done....except the really important "stuff".

Today I shall re-evaluate my goal list - again.

Today I shall decide what I am NOT going to do.

Today I shall focus on the important and not just the urgent, busy work.

What about you?
